Python Ponyo Under Jellyfish (2021)
This image was created using a Python GUI extension called "Turtle" to draw a picture for which I created the Python script. The picture is inspired by the 2008 Japanese animated film produced by Studio Ghibli, "Ponyo".
The Prismatic Fish (2022)
This is a short animated video for a Principles of 2D Art assignment to reinvent the color wheel called "The Prismatic Fish". It is a short, simple lesson explaining the color wheel with colorful fish in the ocean. This was created using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects.

Chromegga (2022)
This is a small painting created using egg tempera and pigment on Claybord for a Principles of 2D Art assignment. It is a reduced version of a picture of me and my boyfriend on a date by the water in 2021.

Roller Skating Painting (2022)
This work was created for a Contemporary Art and Practice assignment, in which I chose to perform an action to create a piece. It explores the action and process of creating a visual work of art rather than focusing on the final product. For this piece, I gathered a white poster board, a variety of water based paints, and my roller skates, which I took outside and combined into this painting by roller skating through paint dripped across the surface.
100 for Ukraine (2022)
This Contemporary Art and Practice project deals with a political topic of the Ukraine war, which was a prominent focus of American national news in 2022. My work is meant to shed light on the underlying fact that war brings suffering, regardless of politics and the news. This piece has 100 blue and yellow sunglasses with the titles of 100 news articles from America, Ukraine, and Russia across them to represent the perspectives of people across the world. They are arranged in a sculpture that spells "suffering" in Ukrainian, which projects a shadow onto a projection of biased news reports about the events.
Losing Track of Time (2022)
This looping animation was created to visually express the feeling of losing track of time for a synesthesia project in Intro to Creative Tech. I created the 2D assets in Procreate, then edited and composed the animation in Adobe After Effects, and added music that I composed in BandLab.
Master After Death (2022)
This short animation is my contribution to a group animation project in Intro to Creative Tech. I created the 2D assets in Procreate and composed the final animation in Adobe After Effects. This is meant to show how some artists are recognized only when their work is appreciated after they are gone, like Vincent Van Gogh, but in a cute, cartoony way.
Processing Ecosystem (2022)
This is a screen capture of an instance of a program I wrote in Processing for Creative Code, which is a software sketchbook and language based on Java. I followed lessons in the textbook "The Nature of Code" by Daniel Shiffman to create my own version of the "Ecosystem Project", which is outlined at the end of every lesson. The Java code includes methods for different "animals" or other elements in the ecosystem, which have different behaviors and are randomly generated in the plane. This includes lily pads, clouds, fish that follow food (produced by clicking) or swim around currents, flies that buzz around, frogs that hop and are attracted to lily pads and flies, and snakes that slither through the water.

FrankenPrint (2022)
This project involved carving print blocks from linoleum and printing sheets of textures using ink and rollers for a project in Drawing Concepts. I photoshopped 4 images of myself together and reduced the composition to 4 colors to create a "spliced" image for this project. I then expanded the image by sketching it on 18x24 paper and chose patterns that fit the lightness and darkness of sections. I cut out the sections using an X-ACTO knife and glued them together to create the final composition. To finish details, I used watered down white and black acrylic paint to add more contrast to some patterns.
Pulse Playthrough (2022)
This video shows a short playthrough of a semester-long group project to develop a beginner point-and-click adventure game for the Game Development class. I was involved in creating 3D models and texturing for some assets, mainly the dock town and the submarine.
